Italy's National Military Day Celebrated

On Tuesday evening, November 4, 2025, with the presence of Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil; Tommaso Sansoni, Consul General of Italy in Erbil; and a number of other military commanders of the country and representatives and envoys of countries, Italy's National Military Day, organized by the Italian Military Command in the Kurdistan Region, was held.

At the ceremony, the Governor of Erbil, while congratulating the commanders and soldiers of the country on that day, emphasized the importance of further developing relations between Italy and the Kurdistan Region.
 

He also stated that Italy has been an important country within the international coalition fighting ISIS terrorists and highly appreciated the role of that country's forces and their support and cooperation, especially in training the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces, assisting and supporting governmental institutions in the health sector, and performing several other various humanitarian works they have presented.
 

He emphasized further coordination and cooperation of the country's military team with Erbil Governorate.
