Van... An Extensive Meeting Was Held to Strengthen and Develop Commercial and Industrial Relations

On Monday, June 8, 2026, an extensive meeting was held with the presence of Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil; Halgurd Sheikh Najib, Supervisor of Soran Independent Administration; the Deputy Governor of Sulaymaniyah; Burhan Kaya, Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Turkey; Necdet Takva, President of the Van Chamber of Commerce; the President of Municipality, Director Generals, District Commissioner, and representatives of the Barzani Charity Foundation and the Chambers of Commerce of Erbil, Duhok, Sulaymaniyah, and West Azerbaijan "Urmia."
 

In the meeting, the Governor of Erbil emphasized in his speech the importance of developing commercial and industrial relations and stated that Erbil provides full facilities for investors to strengthen the economic infrastructure of the region.
 

He then highlighted the Kurdistan Regional Government's strategy for developing commercial and industrial relations with neighboring countries, noting that the industrial and commercial sectors are fundamental pillars for ensuring financial stability and creating new job opportunities.

He reiterated that all institutions of the Erbil Governorate are ready to provide all facilitations for domestic and foreign investors in order to strengthen the economic infrastructure and further solidify industrial and commercial relations between the Kurdistan Region, Turkey, and Iran.
