Binali Yıldırım Receives Kurdistan Region Delegation and Conveys Greetings and Respect to "President Barzani"

On Monday afternoon, June 8, 2026, Binali Yıldırım, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, accompanied by İsmet Yılmaz, former Minister of Defense of that country, received Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, Halgurd Sheikh Najib, Supervisor of Soran Independent Administration, and their accompanying delegation in the city of Van.
 

During the meeting, the former Turkish Prime Minister conveyed his special greetings and respect to His Excellency President Masoud Barzani, Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, and Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
 

Thereafter, both sides emphasized the historical importance of developing and strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Republic of Turkey.
