Riyadh... The Governor of Erbil meets with the Saudi Export Development Board and the Saudi Export and Investment Bank

On Wednesday, July 5, 2023, the Governor of Erbil, Omed Khoshnaw, and his accompanying delegation met with the Saudi Export Board and the Saudi Export and Investment Bank.

During the meeting, the Board provided a synopsis of the Saudi Export Board's and the Saudi Export and Investment Bank's work, projects, aims, and activities.

The two parties also discussed collaborative work verses and norms, as well as sectors that will serve as a meeting point for the interests of the Kurdistan Region and the Saudi Export and Investment Bank.

The Governor of Erbil, for his part, emphasized the significance of such meetings and gatherings, stating that they constitute a continuation of the Kurdistan Region's historical commercial and economic links with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Governor of Erbil emphasized the strengthening and enhancing of relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, indicating that the Kingdom's and the Export Board's willingness and welcome is an incentive to strengthen and facilitate the process of trade exchange with the Kurdistan Region, particularly Saudi companies' participation in the Erbil International Fair.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to implement the necessary measures and mechanisms to attain the meeting's objectives.

It is worth noting that the governor is accompanied on this visit by Masoud Karash, Deputy Governor of Erbil, Sheikh Mahmoud, Managing Director of Kar Company, Dr. Abd Elah, former Iraqi Minister of Agriculture, Ari Ahmed, Director General of Water in the Region, Zardasht Abd al-Khaliq, Director of Erbil Water, and Rikan Muhammad. Zaki, Director of Relations in Erbil Governorate, Saber Hussein, Director of Media for the Governorate, and Business Owners Bashar Mushir Agha and Dr. Serageldin.
