Erbil and the Netherlands Discuss Project to Create a Modern Cycling Network

On Thursday, October 23, 2025, Masoud Karash, Deputy Governor of Erbil, visited the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Erbil and was welcomed by Adrian Eiselstein, the country's Consul.
 

In the meeting, attended by Shorsh Ali, Director of General Contracts for the Governorate, and Dr. Dilzar Bakr from the Governor's Office, discussions were held regarding Erbil Governorate's proposed project to create a modern cycling network for Erbil city streets and implement the consulting and design aspects of the project.
 

The Consul of the Kingdom of the Netherlands gladly expressed their readiness to assist as much as possible to ensure the project's success and to draw on the experience of their country as a pioneer in cycling.
