Dr. Saman Barzingi, Minister of Health and Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, in the presence of the Governor's Deputy and the General Council of Germany in Erbil And a number of parliamentarians and Central Mayor and Representatives of the UNDP organization and Erbil Health General Manager and the general manager of municipalities and a number of doctors and employees, In a ceremony, they opened a hospital for Corona and transmitted diseases in Erbil in Bahrka. At the ceremony, Erbil Governor, in a speech, discussed the important role of the late Dr. Fursat Sofi, the former governor of Erbil, in building this hospital to treat Corona virus infections in Erbil. He stated: " Our brother, the late Dr. Fursat Sofi, the former governor of Erbil, played an important and effective role in building this hospital to treat Coronavirus patients and for that he did his best to do so, which sadly, in the end he passed away by this disease ”.
The governor of Erbil, despite the name of the interior minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Governorate of Erbil, thanked all the charities, organizations, and donor parties who helped and supported this project outside and inside Kurdistan. He said: " We hope that with the Ministry of Health of the Kurdistan Regional Government we will be able to provide the needs and staff of this hospital as soon as possible, so that in the near term it will serve its citizens as an important service of the public health sector ”.
It is worth mentioning that the coronavirus and transmitted disease hospital project in Bahrka on an area of (15,000 meters2) and with a range of (4 Billion and 400 Million Dinars) was created on the duty of a part of the organization, companies and charities of Erbil city and UNDP organization. and a large part of medical supplies and special equipment are provided and It is expected soon as an important service for the public health sector to serve citizens.
