Today, Thursday, January 22, 2026, Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, accompanied by Falah Hassan, Head of the Department of Non-Governmental Organizations, Hêmin Qadir, Deputy Governor, Nabaz Abdulhamid, Central District Commissioner, Karzan Abdulhadi, Head of Erbil Municipality, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, the heads of the Erbil branches of the Importers and Exporters Union and the Contractors Union, the Director of Provincial Internal Affairs, and representatives from the Barzani Charity Foundation and the Provincial Crisis Management, visited the "Erbil" campaign in front of Shanadar Park.
 

This campaign aims to collect aid and assistance for our brothers and sisters in Rojava, as thousands of Kurdish citizens have been displaced to safe areas in Rojava due to attacks by the Syrian Arab Army on their regions and are in urgent need of rapid assistance. While commending the volunteers of the campaign, he emphasized that "this campaign has been announced to help the displaced and to provide aid and assistance to our brothers and sisters in Rojava. As the people of Erbil, who are always generous and compassionate, we hope that through this campaign, the most aid and assistance will be collected."

It is worth noting that in yesterday's meeting at the Governorate's office, supervised by the Governor of Erbil, the "Erbil" campaign to collect aid and assistance for our brothers and sisters in Rojava was announced for all individuals, parties, groups, and philanthropists who wish to extend a helping hand to our brothers and sisters in Rojava, who have been displaced from their homes due to the war and devastation they face.
