Land was provided for 25 heavy and medium industrial projects On Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Under the supervision of Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, in order to further develop industrial projects and increase employment and domestic production and encourage the private sector to invest in Erbil, the meeting of the Committee for the Development and Support of Industrial Projects was held in the presence of all members.
 

The meeting was attended by Hemin Qadir and Massoud Karash, Deputies of Governor and Dr. Dara Jaleel Khayat the President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The governor of Erbil, on the order of Prime Minister Mr. Masrour Barzani, emphasized on reducing routine and running the affairs of citizens and said: “ The committee should equally facilitate the demands of those who want to implement their industrial projects in the service of citizens and revival and development of the industrial sector in Erbil governorate, therefore, they must live up to this responsibility and do everything they can to reduce routine and complete their transactions.

Then, after presenting and reviewing the decisions and recommendations of the previous meeting, discussions were held on the development and revival of the industrial sector, work, products, goals and objectives of industrial projects and providing job opportunities in Erbil governorate.

At the end of the meeting, in addition to (33) industrial projects, solutions were discussed, and (40) other heavy and medium industrial projects were presented, requesting lands for their projects, and out of (40) requests (15) projects were postponed for further study and follow-up, and the decision to grant land for (25) other projects was approved.
