Erbil Governor's statement on the Anniversary of the March 11th Agreement and the 32nd Anniversary of Erbil's Liberation

In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Today marks the 53rd anniversary of the first agreement between the Kurdish people and the Iraqi government, which recognized some of the rights of the Kurdish people, and on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the great and glorious Kurdistan people's uprising in March 1991 and the liberation of Erbil, we extend our warmest congratulations to all Kurds, heroic Peshmergas, and proud families of the martyrs.

On these two glorious anniversaries, we reiterate that the Governorate of Erbil and all of its administrative units will continue to make all efforts to serve our city and its citizens, we assure you that the goals of the revolution and uprising will be the foundation of our work for the reconstruction and development of Kurdistan, as well as the realization of our people's aspirations and the provision of a decent and happy life.

Happy anniversary once more of the 11 March agreement, the revolt, and the liberation of Erbil, the capital of peace, tranquility, love, and coexistence.
