The Governor of Erbil paid a visit to the Turkish Consulate

On Thursday, February 9, 2023. Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw paid a visit to the Turkish Consulate in Erbil to express the Kurdistan Regional Government's and the people of Erbil's condolences for the recent devastating earthquake in Turkey.
 

The Turkish Consul in Erbil welcomed him warmly. During the meeting, Erbil Governor expressed the people of Erbil's condolences and sympathies to the Turkish government and people via the Turkish Consul in Erbil for the tragedy that occurred in their country and said: “ We are saddened and concerned about this incident as the Kurdistan Government, the people of Kurdistan, and the people of Erbil, and we consider your pain to be our own. Therefore, we express our sincere condolences to the families of the victims through you and wish the injured a speedy recovery.”

The Turkish consul in Erbil, for his part, thanked the governor for his visit and conveyed his condolences. He emphasized that the disaster exceeded our expectations and thanked the Kurdistan government and people for their attitude, as their teams and aid arrived at the scene of the disasters in Turkey before all other countries. “It made us happy and eased our pain,” he said.
