Metro Center has released its annual report on ambiguous and misleading information

On Monday, February 20, 2023, the Metro Center for Journalists' Rights announced a media honor charter in the Kurdistan Region to combat misleading news, as well as a panel discussion on the media reality in the Kurdistan Region, in the presence of the Governor of Erbil, Omed Khoshnaw, and many officials and media professionals.

During his speech, the governor of Erbil emphasized the ethics of journalistic work and freedom of expression, and stated that one of the Kurdistan Regional Government's goals is to promote democratic and press freedom principles.

"Although there are many media channels and agencies in the Kurdistan Region and they work freely, and they have a great opportunity, especially with the media and journalism entering an advanced stage, the media must respect their work by adhering to the ethics of journalism and acting responsibly and putting their message in Serving national goals.” The Governor of Erbil added.
