Within the "Freedom and Newroz" festival activities, the governor of Erbil honors a number of artists and writers

On March 15, 2023, the Governor of Erbil, Omed Khoshnaw, awarded eleven artists, writers, and journalists within the framework of the thirteenth "Freedom and Newroz" festival, in recognition of their contributions to the cultural and artistic movement of the capital, Erbil.

The Governor of Erbil wished them long life, continuity, and success, for their efforts in serving the cultural movement in Erbil during the ceremony, which was attended by Masoud Karsh, Deputy Governor of Erbil, Nabaz Abdul Hamid, the Erbil Central Mayor, Farhang Ghafoor, Director General of Culture and Arts in Erbil, and a number of artists.
