The Governor of Erbil receives the Chief Representative JICA Iraq office
On Tuesday, February 27, 2024, the Governor of Erbil, Omed Khoshnaw, received at the governorate’s office, Gen Yoneda, Chief Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Iraq Office, and his accompanying delegation, which included representatives of a number of major Japanese companies.
In the meeting attended by Masoud Karsh, Deputy Governor, the Governor of Erbil lauded the achievements and projects undertaken by JICA in the Kurdistan Region. These initiatives, covering sectors such as agriculture, electricity, water, and sanitation, include a notable endeavor to amend the overall organizational plan for the city of Erbil.
This transformative project is anticipated to usher Erbil into a new era of development and prosperity. Both parties deliberated on the significance of enhancing and solidifying relations and coordination between Erbil Governorate, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Iraq, and the agency's local office.
