A delegation from Qazvin Province visits Erbil Governorate

Today, Thursday, August 1, 2024, Hemin Qadir, the acting Governor of Erbil, along with Masoud Karash, Deputy Governor, Akram Ahmed, Assistant Governor, and Brigadier General Khosrow Ghazi, Director of Internal Affairs at the Erbil Governorate, received a delegation from Qazvin Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The delegation consisted of Ali Rahmani, Deputy Governor of Qazvin, Abbas Eskandari, Deputy Consul General of Iran in Erbil, and their accompanying delegation.
 

During the meeting, Hemin Qadir, the acting Governor of Erbil, warmly welcomed the delegation from Qazvin Province to Erbil city. He congratulated them on the success of the presidential election process and highlighted the deep-rooted relations between the Kurdish people and the peoples of Iran in terms of culture, religion, and politics. He emphasized the importance of further strengthening these relations.
 

The acting Governor of Erbil explained the governorate's vision to the visiting delegation in the fields of commerce, tourism, and economic development. He also highlighted the importance of coordination between the chambers of commerce and businessmen from both sides. The acting Governor reaffirmed Erbil Governorate's full readiness to support the visiting delegation.

In another topic, the acting Governor of Erbil emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between Erbil and Qazvin governorates. He also expressed appreciation for the opening of the Qazvin Province exhibition in Erbil city, which showcased products from that province. He described this as an important step in the exchange of goods and strengthening relations between the chambers of commerce and businessmen of Erbil and Qazvin.
 

Another topic of the meeting was the issue of Iranian pilgrims coming to Erbil and from there to other cities in southern Iraq. In this regard, Hemin Qadir, the acting Governor of Erbil, announced that all preparations and facilitations have been made for the arrival of pilgrims.
 

For his part, the Deputy Governor of Qazvin emphasized the importance of Erbil's economic and commercial position. He stated that Erbil is a crucial hub for trade exchange between other Iraqi cities and neighboring countries.
He also expressed his readiness to promote trade exchanges between Erbil and Qazvin governorates in the areas of economy, industry, tourism, and health.

Furthermore, the Deputy Governor of Qazvin extended an invitation to the governorate team and the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry to visit Qazvin Province.
The purpose of this invitation is to further exchange ideas and engage in close discussions across various fields.
