The Governor of Erbil visits the Metropolitan of the Chaldean Catholic Church in Erbil
On Wednesday evening, October 9, 2024, Omed Khoshnaw, the Governor of Erbil, accompanied by Ano Jawhar, the Minister of Transportation and Communications, visited Metropolitan Bashar Matti Warda, the Metropolitan of the Chaldean Catholic Church in Erbil, in Ankawa district.
During the meeting, discussions were held about brotherhood, peace, love, and coexistence among the various components of Kurdistan. Emphasis was placed on the coexistence of different nationalities and supporting the rights of all components in the Kurdistan Region. Promoting religious coexistence in the Kurdistan Region, which has become a center and example in the area, was another focus of the meeting.
In this regard, the Governor of Erbil reaffirmed that the Kurdistan Region, including Erbil as its capital, has always been and will remain a cradle of coexistence, tolerance, and reconciliation for all components.
For his part, the Metropolitan of the Chaldean Catholic Church in Erbil, while welcoming the visit, thanked the Governor of Erbil for his visit and emphasized brotherhood and coexistence. He expressed hope that the Kurdistan Region and Erbil, its capital, would always remain an example of stability, progress, and the highest human values.
