The Governor of Erbil congratulates workers on International Labour Day

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

On the occasion of May 1st, International Workers' Day, we extend our congratulations to all workers in Kurdistan, Iraq, and the world in general, and especially in Erbil, the capital.

On this occasion, as the Erbil Governorate, we reaffirm our commitment to protecting rights and ensuring a suitable working environment in both the public and private sectors.

This is within the framework of the Labor Law in the Kurdistan Region, which was part of the Ninth Cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government's reforms aimed at improving the lives and guaranteeing the rights of workers – including health and occupational safety, securing their legal rights, and limiting all forms of injustice and exploitation.
