The foundation stone of the Barzani Namr stadium was laid in Newroz neighborhood at a cost of more than (500 million dinars)

Today, Monday, December 26, 2022. Erbil Governor, Omed Khoshnaw, accompanied by Deputy Governor, Massoud Karash, at a cost of (570 million dinars) on the Erbil governorate development budget, laid the foundation stone of the construction of Barzani Namr Stadium in Newroz neighborhood, which will be implemented in a contractual manner. The ceremony was attended by Maysar Obed Naheli, Secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Youth Union, members of the secretariat, acting director general of Tourism, director of the sixth Municipality and a number of other engineers and supervisors of the project.

The governor congratulated the residents, players and youth of Newroz neighborhood and said: "We had promised to build this stadium before, today we are happy that we fulfilled our promise and start building this stadium, which will serve the athletes and youth of the neighborhood. We assure the citizens of our province, we will continue to deliver service projects and as the governorate of Erbil and the Kurdistan Regional Government, whatever we can to serve the citizens of our province, we will not hesitate.".
