President Barzani: The March 11 agreement elevated the Kurdish people's definition and existence to a higher level

President Barzani's statement is as follows:

The March 11 agreement is regarded as one of the Kurdistan People's Liberation Movement's most significant achievements. The significance of this historical event stems from the struggle and revolution of the Kurdish people and the Kurdistan Democratic Party led by Barzani, as the Iraqi regime was forced at the time to officially recognize some of our people's rights for the first time on March 11, which the Kurdish people had been denied since the establishment of the Iraqi state.

The March 11 agreement, the result of the struggle and sacrifices of the Peshmerga, the masses, and all classes, religious and ethnic components in Kurdistan, elevated the Kurdish people's definition and existence within the Iraqi state. Despite the fact that the Iraqi regime turned its back on Kurdish rights and violated the March 11 agreement, this achievement was a stepping stone to a greater stage and step in our people's struggle, as well as the achievement of more achievements and victories.

On the 53rd anniversary of the March 11th agreement, in addition to highlighting the message of peace and coexistence to the Kurdish people, we remind everyone that the Kurdish people do not give up their rights, freedom, and gains under any circumstances or pressures.
