World Earth Hour Day was celebrated

On Saturday evening, March 25, 2023. In order to enhance environmental awareness in Kurdistan in general and Erbil in particular and to propagate environmental awareness, Erbil Governor Omed Khoshnaw hosted World Earth Hour Day in Erbil, during which the electricity was switched off and candles were lit for several minutes. Earth Hour is a global event with the participation of more than 150 countries, held annually around the world on the last Saturday of March after 8:00 pm.

The purpose of this activity is the increase of the environmental problems that we face daily, as a result of the lack of environmental awareness in communities, such as excessive use of electricity, an increase in the number of vehicles in cities, pollution of public places, increased noise, air pollution and Low environmental awareness.
