Erbil... Several Panels on the Impact of Kurdish History on Middle Eastern Political Equations Held
Today, Monday, February 9, 2026, in the presence of Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil, university professors, and students, a panel titled "The Impact of Kurdish History on Middle Eastern Political Equations" was held by the Raha Organization in coordination with Knowledge University at the university campus.
In this panel, participants, under various titles, discussed the historical and political details of the national and ethnic situation of the Kurds and Kurdistan. They viewed how the Kurdish community, like other communities in the Middle East, has been influenced and affected by these changes. Simultaneously, from different perspectives, they emphasized solutions and political organization in the Middle East, especially since World War I, which resulted in the division of Kurdistan among Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Turkey.
From that time until today, Kurds have not been content with this new current situation, and several Kurdish revolutions and uprisings have taken place for this cause, with political processes now moving towards diplomatic solutions.
